The tattoo in Cuba, chances and griefs
Since the beginnings of the 90’s started to grow in the Cuban young people an interest for the artistic tattoo,making a difference of the religious and jail iconography which was being done till then.
In our country since the beginnings of this wave of new tattoo artists,they have been to confront to the incomprehesion and many times they have been checked for persons who don’t understand this artistic wave which comes to break that till that moment was known as tattoos in the island,designs much more elaborated,an interest to improve and much love for this art.This is a common denomination in most part of the Cuban tattoo artists without resources.Without information,try to share what they are learning day by day.
Our interest is to promote the work of these artists of the tattoo world who dreams to share one day an studio with others and create an ambient where the only worry is being the best as possible with the best equipment.In Cuba there is nowhere you can buy tattoo equipments,it’s not aloud to open a tattoo studio,we can’t travel to conventions and there is no way to acquire by post,instead the tattoo art is very popular all around the island.

Objective and subjective conditions who gave a place to the actual Cuban tattoo,it evolution and shortages.
Obviously,like in every art statements,the tattoo is not far of the modernist tendency to recreate the actual context of daily,with teir especifications,giving a place to a new era of numerous designs who broach specifical and individuals subjects.
